Skiddle’s 25th birthday is approaching. To celebrate in style, the team will be marking the milestone with a special event on Thursday 30 April 2026. Calendars at the ready.

Let’s step back in time for a moment. It’s Tuesday 1 May 2001. The carpet at Tokyo Jo’s in Preston is sticky, the balloons are bobbing, and Cream Nightclub legend Paul Bleasdale is making the speakers sweat. Amid the chaos, a small band of students is launching something new – a little nightlife guide called Skiddle.com.

There are rumours about what went down (some best left unverified), but with no Instagram, no TikTok, and Tom from MySpace still five years away from sliding into anyone’s friends list, Skiddle was born.

Fast forward to today, and what started as a late-night side hustle between two mates, Rich and Ben, has grown into a leading force in event promotion and ticket sales across the UK. From basements to arenas, from BBQs to landmark moments, Skiddle has been there. And now, it’s time to celebrate.

The 25th anniversary celebration will bring together dinner, awards, dancing, and the classic Skiddle brand of joyful chaos. It’s a night for everyone who’s been part of the journey – friends, family, customers, collaborators, and the countless dance floors Skiddle has called home.

So here’s to 25 years of music, mayhem, making memories, sharing laughs, and, of course, ticketing.
